Pattern of Easy Crochet Skirt

Start by selecting two yarn colors of your choice, or opt for the beautiful green and white combination featured in the video. For this simple crochet skirt, a 2 mm or 1.75 mm hook works perfectly. You’ll also need scissors to trim the yarn as you go. These tools will help you craft a stunning puffed pattern accented with a delicate lace edge.

Begin by creating a foundation chain that matches the full length of your skirt, ensuring it’s a multiple of six. Work a single crochet stitch into each chain across the first row. For the second row, crochet along the line, leaving the last three stitches unworked, then turn and work back along the row, crocheting into the back loops only. Repeat this process for the third row, leaving the last three stitches unworked again before turning. Continue this pattern of leaving three stitches at the end of each row and working back until only three stitches remain.

To recreate the design shown in the video, we simply adjust the thread color and replace the gradient line with a straight line. Using the same technique, we modify the thread color while ensuring to leave 6 stitches in a shade of off-white (shade 3), as demonstrated in the tutorial for the easy crochet skirt below.

At the end of each row, leave 6 stitches and work back until only 6 stitches remain. Switch the thread color and transform the tapered line into a straight one, following the demonstration in the video.

Start by completing the entire clip, then repeat the process using the off-white color. Continue alternating colors until you create a rectangular piece large enough to wrap comfortably around the waist, adding an extra 10 cm for ease. Once the desired size is achieved, join the edges to form the easy crochet skirt and finish it off by crafting pleats tailored to fit the waist perfectly.
