To explain, incorporate the dark and light versions of a color to make your crochet carpet stand out. The carpet in the video uses 15 colors, a string number 6, a 3.5mm crochet needle, scissors and a tapestry needle. You should use a total of about 430 g of yarn.

This beautiful carpet incorporates those threads or any thread of your choice into a colorful carpet with a lovely texture.

This rectangular crochet carpet has a width of 42 centimetres and a length of 85 cm. You can always expand these measurements by watching precisely how to make the carpet to any size you would like. This carpet also has a double border with two different colors that outline the carpet in a zigzag pattern.

A final tip I have for you for when you are working on this magical carpet is to complete it over a longer course of time than your usual crochet projects. The reason for this is because this is a heavy duty project and will naturally take a long time to complete.

But most importantly, so that there can be an element of surprise for the day you finally get it done and you can be proud of your extraordinary work.

A list of all of the colors used is below the video. You can decide to use those same colors or make up your own assortment of colors! Most importantly, have fun throughout this long journey of creating this amazing crochet carpet.

Tutorial and photos of this carpet by: Blog do crochê.

This video tutorial covers how to crochet carpet using all of the thread leftovers you have saved over your period of crocheting in the hopes of reusing them!
